The AGD publishes a monthly electronic newsletter for constituent leaders, AGD Leader Insider. It offers leaders the most current and relevant information from AGD Headquarters. Leaders are encouraged to read AGD Leader Insider regularly for upcoming developments in advocacy, constituent services, public information, membership development and retention and much more.

Meet Kulwant Turna, DDS

Dr. Turna became a Regional Director in 2016. His region encompasses Eastern Canada, which includes all the Atlantic Provinces, Quebec, Ontario AGD. Being a very vast region geographically, Dr. Turna hopes to bring all these regions closer with shared common goals of increasing membership and supporting continuing education. He has been a member of the Ontario AGD board since 2003. Passionate about AGD, he feels it is important for dentists to know why AGD exists and the benefits it has to offer.

Dr. Turna has served at the national level as a member of the Membership Council and various reference committees, and as a delegate for the HOD meetings. He was Ontario AGD president and is currently PACE chair. He would like to raise awareness of issues affecting dentistry and encourage his colleagues to become involved in organized dentistry.

After graduating from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 1996, Dr. Turna completed an advanced education in general dentistry program at the University of Buffalo. After that, he became an associate dentist, and he now currently owns and practices in two offices in Ontario. In his spare time, Dr. Turna enjoys learning to play piano and advancing his tennis game.
