Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is an asymptomatic benign tumor typically observed as a well-circumscribed, teardrop-shaped radiolucency containing an embedded tooth. While the lesion most commonly affects maxillary canines in younger females, the May/June issue of General Dentistry reports two atypical cases associated with impacted premolars.

AGD recently signed a letter with 17 other members of the Organized Dental Coalition (ODC) to support S. 4008, the Promoting Dental Health Act. The bill reauthorizes the U.S. Centers for Disease Control Oral Health programs through fiscal year 2031 and strengthens oral health infrastructure nationwide while supporting the vital role of general dentists in improve overall health outcomes.

Dentists don’t have short careers; they can easily be in business for 30, 40 or even 50 years. Because of this, every dentist should be able to create multigenerational wealth and a life by design.

AGD recently presented its Student Chapter of the Year award to Texas A&M College of Dentistry, Faculty Advisor of the Year to Mai-Ly Duong, DMD, MAGD, and Residency Program Director of the Year to Russ Bergman, DMD.
