AGD Provides Return to Work Guidance as Members Resume Elective Procedures

AGD has created a guidance document to support AGD members as they resume elective procedures. This tool focuses on three areas: employee safety and pre-appointment, intra-appointment, and post-appointment. This planning document can be used along with other guiding resources to help engage your team and identify new approaches to practicing amid this pandemic.

The document, which was created by a subcommittee of the AGD Dental Practice Council, includes information from, as well as links to, regulatory agencies. It also provides templates that can be customized to individual practices to address specific needs, including patient and staff consent forms. These resources can all be found on the new Return to Work section of AGD’s website.

“These are unprecedented times, and determining your strategy for resuming non-emergency cases is complicated by the regulatory agencies and boards involved in our work,” said Connie L. White, DDS, FAGD, AGD president. “This guidance is intended to help you identify key areas of focus so that you can figure out what works best for your practice. I am grateful to our volunteer leaders who have scoured the various reports and perspectives to put this information together for AGD members.”
