On February 28, 2024, Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Roger Marshall (R-KS) introduced S.Res. 567, a bipartisan resolution to designate March 18, 2024, as the inaugural "Health Workforce Well-Being Day of Awareness." AGD signed onto the resolution in support of its goals. The Senators and AGD recognize the widespread issue of health care provider burnout and the need to improve the health and well-being of the health care workforce. Additionally, the resolution supports creating a positive work culture, investing in research and strategies to support workforce well-being, increasing access to mental and behavioral health services, and reducing administrative burdens on health professionals.
