Howard H. Chi, DMD, MA, MAGD, is the regional director of Region 13, which consists of California. He is serving his first year term as regional director. He has served as the California AGD president and as component president for the Sacramento-Sierra AGD for three terms as well in national leadership positions on the PACE Council and as chair of the PACE Council. Additionally, he has been on the Local Advisory Committee for the Scientific Meeting Council in San Francisco.

Chi is a 1989 graduate of Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University (formerly Temple University School of Dentistry). He is a 30-year member of the AGD. AGD has been an important part of his life, where he has made lifelong friendships with like-minded, highly motivated individuals who also strive to be the best-educated general dentists. Chi has goals to achieve as regional director, the most important of which are developing leadership in the California AGD, facilitating board and member engagement, and working closely with the California AGD's Fellow Track program.

He is in private practice in Stockton, California. Aside from AGD, Chi is involved with his local community live theatre on crew as deck manager. He previously competed in BBQ contests, cooking award-winning Q. He also helps out with all the various activities of his children.
