Volunteers Needed for Oral Cancer Screenings

Dental health professionals have a responsibility to educate patients and the public about oral and oropharyngeal cancer.  Join in the fight by volunteering to help with free oral cancer screenings for scientific session attendees and employees of the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort on Friday, July 29, 2022, at AGD2022 in Orlando, Florida.

In order to perform oral cancer screenings at the event, dentists must hold an active dental license in Florida, which they will be asked to submit a copy of, and provide proof of malpractice insurance. Out-of-state dentists; hygienists; dental students; and any other interested participants can assist with patient education and/or administrative duties.

Florida-licensed dentists can sign up to volunteer here.

Out-of-state dentists; hygienists; dental students; and any other interest participants can sign up to volunteer here.

There will be participation credit available for those performing oral cancer screenings. The AGD Foundation will provide fully equipped workstations for volunteers.

All volunteers who wish to provide oral cancer screenings are required to submit to the AGD Foundation a copy of their Florida practice license and proof of professional liability insurance. These documents must be valid through July 29, 2022. Please send documents to the AGD Foundation at AGDF@adgcommunications.com or 136 Everett Road, Albany, NY 12205.  For more information, contact us at AGDF@adgcommunications.com or 518-694-5545.
