The deadline is approaching for constituencies and regions to file under the AGD group exemption with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Constituencies or regions that qualify must forward all required information to AGD headquarters for filing no later than Aug. 30.

Remind any pre-Fellow members that AGD will host the 2019 Fall Fellowship Review Course, Oct. 4–5 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Louis Downtown.

In July, the Virginia AGD was delighted to welcome Jose-Luis Ruiz, DDS, FAGD, to Virginia Beach for a 1 1/2-day participation course, “Healthier, Faster and More Predictable Direct Rehabilitation Using Supragingival Techniques.”

Effective Sept. 1, 2019, AGD will no longer accept any CE verification forms or rosters through mail, fax or email. All CE MUST be submitted electronically.

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) selected Dental Recycling North American (DRNA) as an Exclusive Benefits provider for amalgam separators and amalgam recycling for members of AGD.

Dental Health Products, Inc. (DHPI) recently announced an agreement with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the largest professional association for general dentists, to create AGDVANTAGE, a discount dental supply program provided exclusively to its members.

During the AGD2019 Convocation Ceremony, 234 AGD members received their Fellowship, 61 received Mastership and 22 members were recognized as LLSR recipients.

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) presented its Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award to Dr. Steve Ratcliff during the organization’s annual convocation ceremony at its scientific session last week. The AGD Governance Evaluation and Review Committee met in Chicago on June 21 to begin the arduous process of reviewing AGD’s governing structures.

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), along with the Organized Dentistry Coalition (ODC), today announced that it recommends the full repeal of the medical devise excise tax and urges the Senate Finance Committee to move promptly to consider legislation that includes repeal.

AGD headquarters requests that all constituencies that have not submitted their constituency and/or component bylaws within the last three years review their bylaws, align them with the AGD Model Bylaws, and forward a signed copy to the CST by Monday, Sept. 30.

U.S. constituencies and regions have the opportunity to be included as tax-exempt organizations under the umbrella of AGD headquarters’ group exemption.
