The Action for Dental Health Act received a final stamp of approval this week as President Donald J. Trump officially signed the bill into law.

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) applauds Congress for passing the Action for Dental Health Act aimed to remove barriers to access oral healthcare. The bipartisan bill is expected to be signed into law by President Trump.

AGD’s 2019 Leadership Development Symposium is scheduled for April 12-13, 2019, at the Holiday Inn Chicago-Mart Plaza River North hotel in Chicago. The symposium will feature AGD-experienced member-leaders who will share their leadership resources.

The Academy of General Dentistry has installed Neil Gajjar, DDS, MAGD, of Mississaugua, Ontario as the organization’s new president. Dr. Gajjar is the second Canadian and the youngest AGD member elected to the seat of president.
