Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) released the AGD Member Return to Work Guidance, a tool designed to assist general dentists as they resume elective procedures following practice alterations due to COVID-19. AGD's guidance suggests measures for pre-appointment, intra-appointment and post-appointment. Some of the recommendations include methods for scheduling, screening and testing for COVID-19, ways to extend infection control measures and post-appointment strategies. It also provides sample documents that can be customized for dental practices.

"As general dentists, we are trained in all areas of oral heath delivery, not just one specific specialty. Because of this, AGD ensures its members are knowledgeable in all fields. Many of the greatest innovations in specialist areas come from general dentists."
