AGD Lends Support for the Promoting Dental Health Act

AGD recently signed a letter with 17 other members of the Organized Dental Coalition (ODC) to support S. 4008, the Promoting Dental Health Act. The bill reauthorizes the U.S. Centers for Disease Control Oral Health programs through fiscal year 2031 and strengthens oral health infrastructure nationwide while supporting the vital role of general dentists in improve overall health outcomes.
S. 4008 also provides grants to states for proven prevention efforts, including school-based dental sealant programs, community water fluoridation, oral health surveillance and data tracking, and evidence-based initiatives to reduce cavities and gum disease.
AGD supports S. 4008, the Promoting Dental Health Act, because it is:
