Mackenzie Bankes Receives First Dr. Chethan and Avani Chetty Scholarship
AGD has awarded Mackenzie Bankes, a third-year dental student at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, the prestigious Dr. Chethan and Avani Chetty Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes an AGD dental student member who exemplifies lifelong learning, leadership and dedication to the profession. Bankes was selected for her commitment to underserved communities, active involvement in organized dentistry and long-standing engagement with AGD.
The purpose of the scholarship is to supplement a dental student’s or recent dental school graduate’s expenses for AGD’s annual scientific session. The scholarship will support Bankes’ attendance at AGD2026, June 24–27 at Caesars Palace.
