Essential Oral Radiology for the Practicing Clinician
Date(s)Description
This course will enhance clinicians’ confidence in their interpretive skills with a review of topics in oral radiology that are used in daily clinical practice. By reviewing the main tenets of interpretation through a variety of cases with two- and three-dimensional imaging — determining image quality, assessing images using a systematic workflow and comparing normal anatomy with variants to detect abnormalities — participants will enhance skills they can continue to practice after course completion.
Learning Objectives
- Refresh key principles of interpretation applicable to 2D and 3D imaging in dentistry: determining image quality, assessing images with a systematic workflow and comparing normal anatomy with variants to detect abnormalities.
- Review panoramic radiography positioning errors and incidental findings.
