Speaker Biography
Dr. Su-yan L. Barrow graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Hostos Community College in 1980. She holds a MA in Health Education from NYU, a Masters in Public Health from Hunter College and a PhD from Walden University. Su-yan is the Scientific Affairs Manager, Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Colgate, Su-yan was a Senior Lecturer at the Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne, Australia where she was the Dental Hygiene Coordinator in the Bachelor of Oral Health program. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, International Association for Dental Research and the American Public Health Association. Su-yan has presented at national and international professional meetings, published articles/case studies and co-authored a text-book chapter on topics relevant to dental profession.
