Dear Massachusetts AGD Members:
Happy New Year 2019!
I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your renewed commitment to lifelong learning. I would also like to thank those who participated in various ways this past year, especially this past fall in the number of MA AGD events that were held. Whether it be through educational opportunities we organize, social gatherings, or student mentorships, the Massachusetts AGD will continue to focus on providing world-class educational programs within our state. I want to especially recognize our CE chair, Dr. Saba Abernethy, for continuing her hard work in spearheading opportunities for us to provide continuing education, which is foundational to the AGD’s mission and of immense value to its members.
As a local constituent, it will be my undertaking this year as your MA AGD President to better communicate all that our organization has to offer, be it locally, regionally or nationally. In coordination with the rest of our executive team, I will also be reaching out to general dentists throughout our state in an effort to encourage renewed participation in our organization, so that we may continue to bring unmatched value to each of our members. I recognize that we are fortunate to have so much talent in our state and I am committed to drawing from that to help advance the standing of our general dentist members and our profession as whole.
Over the coming year, I welcome your feedback. Tell us how we are doing and what we can do better to serve you. We have built incredible momentum and I want nothing more than to leverage that into even more opportunities for our members!
William J. Herr, DDS
President, Massachusetts AGD
