Description

Dentists are the first line of defense for dental emergencies. Patients who present to your practice in pain are often unexpected and need help fast. This program will guide the clinician through an effective process of endodontic diagnosis and execution of the unexpected pain relief treatment plan, and it will also cover postoperative pain and follow-up. This program is designed to get you up to speed to perform effective and efficient emergency endodontic treatments to help your patients and grow your practice.

Learning Objectives

  1. To learn efficient diagnostic processes to get an accurate endodontic diagnosis for emergency patients.
  2. To understand how to anesthetize the “hot tooth.”
  3. To perform emergency access opening preparations and effective debridement of the pulp chamber and canals.
  4. To gain confidence in how to present postoperative instructions and to understand the proper timing of follow up.

Speaker Bio  

Brett E. Gilbert, DDS, FICD, graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School (DDS 2001, endodontics 2003). He is a professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He is the founder of the Access Endo Impact Academy, a global direct-mentorship CE platform. Gilbert lectures nationally and internationally on clinical endodontics and personal wellness and is the host of the On the Cusp Podcast. Gilbert is a global key opinion leader in the area of endodontics and new technology.
