Speaker Biography
Dr. Jeff Horowitz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and earned his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Upon graduation, he completed a general practice residency at the Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. In 1992, Dr. Horowitz founded the Carolina Center for Advanced Dentistry, a multidisciplinary group practice in the Conway/Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. He is also the founder and clinical director for Advanced Sleep and TMJ Centers. His main interests include cosmetic smile rehabilitation, complex restorative cases, treatment of sleep disordered breathing, orthodontics and TMJs.
An admitted continuing education “junkie,” Dr. Horowitz has earned AGD Fellowship and served as a past-president of the South Carolina AGD and as a member of the Dental Education Council. He is also a mentor and scientific advisor at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, a key opinion leader/lecturer for Catapult Education and an instructor for Sleep Group Solutions. His affiliations include the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, the Piper Study Club, American Association of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Sleep and Breathing Academy and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Dr. Horowitz lectures internationally, has been published in dental literature and has contributed to television news media reports.
