Cassandra Pietrok, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Pietrok’s goal has always been to provide kind, stress-free care to patients of all ages, no matter their dental health needs.

After receiving her BS from Gonzaga University, Dr. Pietrok earned her DDS at Marquette University, and she continues to pursue her passion for continuing education. She became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 2011 and a Master in 2013. She has also held leadership positions in and is currently a member of the following organizations:

  • Academy of General Dentistry (AGD)
  • American Dental Association (ADA)
  • Nebraska Academy of General Dentistry (NAGD)
  • Nebraska Dental Association (NDA)
  • Omaha District Dental Society (ODDS)

Dr Pietrok’s charitable work has earned her a volunteer service award from the ODDS and includes organizing the Mission of Mercy in Papillion in 2009. She has served on the boards of several organizations, including Marion High School, Heartland Family Service, Boystown Booster Club, ODDS and NAGD.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Pietrok loves history and traveling with her husband and children. She is also a sports fanatic and enjoys playing golf and watching every other sport. Her favorite teams include the UNL Huskers, UNO Mavericks, and Creighton Blue Jays, which is why you’ll see plenty of their memorabilia displayed proudly throughout the office!

Fostering a Sense of Community that Benefits All

Our AGD promotes advocacy for all of our members and all general dentists in one way or another. But what does advocacy mean? It is simply defined as public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy. Our outstanding leaders reach out to governmental agencies to recommend action on issues that directly benefit dentists. It’s a very tough job in this current political setting, but it’s one that needs to be done professionally and successfully for the present and future.

AGD represents all generations of dentists: dental students and residents; early, midcareer and established dentists; private practice owners and associates; corporate owners and associates; academics; those in public health; and military dentists. We proudly elevate general dentists of all ages, races, religions, national origins, genders, sexual orientations and disability statuses without judgment. This principle is what makes AGD so special and encompasses everyone.

Our goals and outlooks may not always be in harmony, but open communication, from the grassroots level all the way to leadership and involving our dedicated staff, ensures that our AGD will grow and succeed.

AGD Impact is one resource that can be used for open dialogue and education. I enjoy the comments on editorials and articles that we receive. These may be positive or critical of the content or opinions presented. But it means that the content is stimulating thought processes and opening dialogue. This is a good thing.

Please continue to voice your opinions. Continue your membership for your own personal advancement and recognition and also to elevate dentistry as a whole and our AGD specifically.

We don’t all need to agree on every business model, personal lifestyle or opinion, but we do need to respect each other’s ideas and identities. That’s what this profession is all about: empathy, compassion and respect. These qualities are as important in our treatment of our patients and the communities we serve as they are in how we treat each other.
