Speaker Biography Dr. Truelove has over 40 years experience in the diagnosis and treatment of thousands of patients with diseases of the head, neck, and oral mucosa. He received his advanced training in Oral Medicine at Indiana University and was chair of the Department of Oral Medicine at the University of Washington for over 30 years, building a strong curriculum in Oral Diagnosis and Oral Medicine and establishing the largest Graduate training program in Oral Medicine in North America. He is past president of the American Board of Oral Medicine and currently serves as the Chair of the Council on Scientific Affairs of the American Dental Association. He has been continuously engaged in numerous clinical research studies since beginning his career and has an extensive record of research funding from the National Institutes of Health and from private sources. Dr. Truelove has over 140 published scientific papers and many other scholarly publications. He has served as a consultant to many professional and scientific organizations and is a reviewer for a number of professional publications. His greatest interest is in clinical management of the hundreds of patients referred to the Oral Medicine and the Oral Dysplasia Clinics at the University Medical Center each year. | |||||||||||||||||
