Rachel J. Malterud, DMD, MPH, was recently recognized with a special award for her outstanding contributions to the AGD Foundation. Malterud, who graduated from the A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2020, worked with the AGD Foundation as a practicum dental student intern in 2019 and was responsible for the AGD Foundation Oral Cancer Screening Challenge. She also worked with AGD’s Oral Cancer Task Force. During the 2019 AGD Annual Meeting, she provided guidance to constituencies on hosting oral cancer screenings in their communities.
