Attendees of the 2018 Lone Star Dental Conference, Sept. 21-22, enjoyed world-class speakers Vince Poscente, Olympic athlete, and esthetic specialist Peter Harnois, DDS. In addition to the hands-on exercises during Harnois’ course, attendees participated in lunch and learns taught by several doctors and business professionals. Ernie Luce, DDS, Kyle Stanley, Nassar Barghi and Norma Olvera, DDS, wowed the crowd with their lectures and hands-on activities, and AGD Masters offered "Insights from the Minds of Masters" to their colleagues and helped provide instruction during hands-on courses.

It was a night of celebration at the annual Texas Academy Awards Dinner and Pre-Party, as Summer Ketron, DDS, FAGD, was announced as the 2018 New Dentist of the Year, and Jose L. Cazares Jr., DDS, FAGD, as the 2018 Texas Dentist of the Year. AGD President Manuel Cordero, DDS, CPH, MAGD, also inducted the Texas AGD officers and board members.

The MasterTrack program continued to help members on their path to Mastership through peer-to-peer presentations, lectures and hands-on activities under the guidance of Harnois and Michael Miller, DDS, FAGD.

The Texas AGD thanks the LSDC committee, led by Bryan Moore, DDS, and all the volunteers and attendees. The event was a great example of collaboration and teamwork.
