George Gerdts DDS, ABGD, FICD Clinical Associate Professor UNC

Dr. George Gerdts received his DDS from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, DC in 1978. Dr. Gerdts was an active duty United States Air Force dental officer from 1978 to 2005 when he retired in the rank of Colonel. While in the USAF Dr. Gerdts received a Certificate in General Dentistry after completing a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Dr Gerdts was a GPR and AEGD-1 program director and instructor from 1985 � 1990 and was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Operative Dentistry at UNC from 1994 � 1998. He is board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry and the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry. He came to Chapel Hill as a full time Associate Clinical Professor in the Diagnostic Sciences and General Dentistry Department in April 2006. His clinical interests are in urgent care, diagnosis and treatment planning and comprehensive general dentistry. |
