AGD recently released the AGD Member Return to Work Guidance, which was developed to assist general dentists as they resume operations. AGD's guidance provides recommendations for pre-appointment, intra-appointment and post-appointment protocols. The recommendations include methods for scheduling patients and screening for COVID-19, ways to extend infection control measures, and post-appointment strategies.

AGD Member Return to Work Guidance Panel Biographies

Bruce L. Cassis, DDS, MAGD, AGD president-elect, has been practicing general dentistry in Fayette County, West Virginia, for over 39 years. He has had advanced training in laser, implant and cosmetic dentistry; oral sedation; occlusal diagnosis and temporomandibular joint treatment; periodontal diseases; orthodontics; and root canal therapy. Cassis serves his community by participating in free dental screenings for elementary students and providing lectures and seminars to college students in healthcare professions through the rural health education consortium.

Joseph A. Battaglia, DMD, MAGD, is a dentist in private practice in Wayne, New Jersey, and chair of the AGD Dental Practice Council. He holds an associate clinical professor faculty appointment in the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Department of Restorative Dentistry. He has maintained an advancing faculty appointment at the dental school for over 30 years. He previously held an administrative position in the department of continuing education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey dental school, the predecessor to the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, as well as his faculty appointment.

Gigi Meinecke, DMD, FAGD,  is a general dentist from Potomac, Maryland.  Dr. Meinecke is a member of the AGD Dental Practice Council, has served on the AGD Legislative and Governmental Affairs Council and past president of the Maryland AGD.

Tyler Scott, DDS, FAGD, is a general dentist from Loudonville, Ohio. He is a member of the AGD Dental Practice Council and serves as chair of the Dental Practice Recovery Subcommittee.  He also is the current vice president of Ohio AGD.
