On March 19, the governor of Alaska mandated that elective oral health care procedures be postponed for one month and that treatment of dental emergencies be prioritized and provided by dental practitioners. Additionally, orders and use of PPE should be limited to what is necessary for emergency care. The Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development is maintaining a resources page for professional licensees and businesses, including updates pertaining to dentists. The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services has a dedicated page for COVID-19 updates as well as a page specific to healthcare providers.
