Building a Team of Everyday Leaders: An Introduction to the Team Approach to Patient Care

May. 22, 2018 at 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Involving the entire dental team in creating a patient-centric environment is critical to differentiating your practice. Dental patients are being pulled in many directions. Research shows that the majority of potential patients see dental health care as a commodity rather than a preventive/restorative necessity. The dental team is the face of the practice. Your team is the ambassador of patient-centric care. Exceptional service begins within the practice and works its way out to create a referral business beyond reproach. In this respect each member of the team must be given the tools to be a leader in his or her respective area of accountability. The team must also be given the autonomy to implement those tools. This course focuses on creating a team of everyday leaders to elevate your practice as a center for excellence.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the patient-centric model as it applies to accountability.
2. Examine leadership in the workplace and apply principles of autonomy to every member of the dental team.
3. Discuss the theory behind everyday leadership.
4. Apply concepts of leading from strengths and a growth mindset. 5. Assess strategies to differentiate your practice.

"Because I have to travel far for work, having CE offerings that I can complete at my convenience is amazing. What’s even better is the free CE offerings cover the cost of my AGD membership."
