AGD2026 Convocation Ceremony

AGD’s Convocation Ceremony is one of AGD’s most meaningful traditions, honoring members who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence. Members who have earned Fellowship (FAGD), Mastership (MAGD), or Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR) are formally recognized for their dedication to continuing education and to advancing the quality of dental care for their patients, providing an opportunity for colleagues, family members, and friends to celebrate the hard work, perseverance, and professional growth.
AGD2026 Registration–Register by April 30
Awardees and LLSR Recipients receive complimentary general registration and two complimentary tickets to the 2026 Convocation Reception. Both must be secured through the AGD annual meeting registration process. For assistance, or if you did not receive a link via email, contact meetings@agd.org.

- Complimentary entrance to Dr. David Hornbrook’s Cementation and Ceramics Course, Wed. June 24, 8am- 4:30pm.
Must register by April 30 to secure your spot and earn 7 CE - e-Poster presentations, Wed. June 24, 1-4pm
- President’s Welcome Reception, and VIVA AGD on Thurs. June 25
- Dessert Happy Hour on Friday June 26
- Daily access to the exhibit hall, Thurs. June 25- Sat. June 27
Confirm Convocation Attendance by April 30
All 2026 Awardees and LLSR Recipients must make sure their name included is in the convocation program. Email education@agd.org if you did not receive a link to the Convocation Reply Form.
Reserve Convocation Regalia by April 30 (Fellows and Masters Only)
Fellow and Master Awardees must reserve a cap and gown to wear during the 2026 Convocation Ceremony. Email education@agd.org if you did not receive a link to order your regalia. There is no cost to reserve caps and gowns. LLSR recipients do not wear caps and gowns. LLSR recipients should dress in business attire to accept their pin and honor stole onstage.
Cap and Gown Pick-up
Fellows and Masters can pick up reserved caps & gowns onsite at AGD2026 on Friday, June 26, 2026, and Saturday, June 27, 2026. Regalia MUST be picked up before rehearsal. Gowns and hoods must be returned after the ceremony. Awardees who do not return their gowns and hoods will be charged a replacement fee.
Housing- Reserve by June 1—Caesars Palace, the official AGD2026 host hotel

Reservations must be made by June 1 to secure the AGD rate. Please note, the $30 nightly resort fee is not included in the room rate.
Convocation Rehearsal—3:15 p.m. Sat. June 27, 2026, Caesars Palace
Fellow and Master Candidates should arrive wearing their caps and gowns. We recommend you dress lightly under the regalia. Business dress is recommended for LLSR recipients. Do not bring any large bags or luggage to the ceremony as there is no area to store them. Awardees/LLSRs should not register for afternoon courses on Saturday.
Convocation Ceremony—4:30 p.m. Sat. June 27, 2026, Caesars Palace
Doors open for guest seating at 4:15 p.m. Ample, non-reserved seating will be available. Guests attending only the Convocation Ceremony do not need to register for AGD2026; however, awardees and LLSR recipients should include guest names when they register to help ensure adequate seating. There is no limit to the number of guests you may invite Convocation Ceremony tickets can be picked up at the AGD Registration Desk. The ceremony is expected to last from 2 to 2.5 hours.
Awardee Pins, Certificates, Plaques, Stoles and Crystals
All 2026 Awardees and LLSR Recipients receive a pin during the ceremony. 2026 LLSR Recipients also receive an honor stole. FAGD Certificates, MAGD Plaques and LLSR Crystals will be shipped to all 2026 recipients four to six weeks after the Convocation Ceremony.
Photo Opportunities
- Convocation Slide Show
Submit photos of you and your family, you and your staff or your favorite selfie! Photos will be included in a slide show shown before and after the ceremony. Send up to four photos in JPEG format only to education@agd.org by, Monday, June 15. Label photos by your last name, first initial and number. Example: SmithJ_1, SmithJ_2, etc.
- Convocation Ceremony Photos
The AGD photographer will take photos of all awardees onstage with AGD President, Mark J. Worob, DDS, FAGD and will be available for purchase approximately two weeks after AGD2026. Family members may take photos from their seats; Remind guests that they will not be allowed to enter the aisles or approach the stage to take pictures.
- Convocation, Family or Business Portraits
Awardees, LLSR recipients, and their families are invited to have a formal portrait taken at the AGD2026 Photo Studio. This is an ideal time to take a formal portrait in your cap and gown, update your professional head shot, or take family photos. Caps, gowns, ribbons, and pins will be available in the studio. Reservations will open June 1. Walk-ins welcome. Pictures will be available approximately two weeks after the ceremony. Awardees and LLSR Recipients have the opportunity to purchase optional plaques that include their photo. Official Awards and LLSR Crystal are automatically mailed to you after the ceremony.
- Regional Group Photos
Many regions will schedule times for group photos on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Please contact your regional director or constituent executive early June 2026 You should arrive for your group photo dressed in your cap and gown. Extra caps and gowns will not be available for group photos. The official plaques and crystals do not include a photo.
Convocation Reception
Following the Convocation Ceremony, AGD leaders and members, along with families and friends, are invited to a celebratory reception at Caesar’s Palace. New Fellows, Masters, and LLSRs will be celebrated as distinguished guests. All ages are welcome. This is a ticketed event; Additional tickets can be purchased at $70 for adults and $25 for Youth (ages 3-12). Awardees can reserve two complimentary tickets, and purchase additional tickets if needed, during registration. Business casual dress is recommended Email agd.meetings@agd.org with questions.

June 26 4:15-5:15 p.m.
Must-see session for AGD Fellows. Learn how to achieve AGD's Mastership Award, including up-to-date information about the requirements, how to read your award transcript, timelines, Local MasterTrack programs and other CE opportunities will be discussed. This is a free session, registration recommended to ensure adequate seating. - Award Navigator
Visit the AGD Resource Pavilion in the Exhibit Hall to meet with an AGD staff member who will help you create a customized plan to earn your next AGD Award or Recognition.
