William A. Burn III, DMD, MAGD, was elected regional director for Region 19 in November 2018. His region encompasses Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, with a goal to maintain and further the leadership in Region 19. He has held various leadership positions since he joined AGD in 1986 after graduating from the College of Dental Medicine, The Medical University of South Carolina. Burn is past president of the Greater Columbia Dental Association, chair of the South Carolina Dental Association Mediation Committee, member of the South Carolina Dental Association Member Benefits Board and past president of South Carolina AGD.

Burn completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, S.C., in 1987, and currently practices in Irmo, S.C. Burn is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. In his spare time, he enjoys boating and woodworking.
