Speaker Biography Dr. John completed his dental and periodontal training at the Madras Dental College in Madras, India in 1988 and 1990 respectively. He then joined the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) in 1992 and completed his dental and periodontal training for the second time. He spent a year working at Eli Lilly Labs as a Research Fellow. He joined IUSD in 1999 as the Pre-Doctoral Director, Periodontics. In 2007, he assumed the role of Chairperson of the Department. He is currently Chairperson of the Department of Periodontics and Allied Dental Programs. He maintains an active private practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. He is active in organized dentistry as is past president of the Indianapolis District Dental Society and the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation.
