Local Student Events

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) offers students a variety of events and activities through your local constituent that allow you to enrich your learning experience, connect with fellow dental students, and get more involved in your AGD membership.

Lunch & Learns
Learn about important issues affecting the general dentistry profession, the latest in dental research, new products and techniques, practice opportunities available to you after graduation, and more. AGD Lunch & Learn events provide you with the opportunity to learn about topics that may not be taught in your dental school curriculum to help you decide on the best path to a successful career.

Vendor Fairs
Attend a vendor fair at your dental school and visit with representatives from various dental companies showcasing a variety of products, services, and technologies. Vendor fairs not only allow you to network with students and faculty at your school, they also educate you about some of the products and services available in the marketplace so that you can plan exactly how you want to practice after graduation.

Other Social Activities
From happy hours and tailgating parties to barbeques and movie nights, take advantage of the many other student get-togethers available at your dental school and connect with your classmates and local AGD leaders. You can also get more involved at your dental school by participating in events like community outreach projects, student lobbying days with your state legislature, and mentorships with younger students who are just beginning their dental education.

If the event you’re interested in isn’t listed on your constituent’s calendar, consider hosting one yourself!
