Get InvolvedThe Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) recognizes that the general dentistry profession is changing, and we’re changing right along with it. Wherever the future takes us, the AGD offers students opportunities to get more involved, so you can find your voice and be heard along your path to a successful dental career. Call for Volunteers Refer a Classmate
Spread the word about AGD membership and recruit your peers through the Refer a Classmate program, the AGD’s member-get-a-member campaign. Designed to recognize students for their recruitment efforts in dental schools, Refer a Classmate gives you the opportunity to earn rewards and prizes simply for sharing your passion for the AGD with others. While you’re at it, you’ll also be helping to expand your career options, enhance student member benefits, and strengthen the AGD’s voice for general dentists. Host a Student Event
Expose a large number of your classmates to the AGD by hosting a local student event such as a Lunch & Learn, a vendor fair, or a get-together after class. They’ll meet AGD volunteer leaders with professional experience and local connections, receive AGD materials and membership information to take home, and possibly even learn a thing or two that they haven’t been taught in school yet! Become an Advocate
Monitor important issues affecting the way general dentists practice, both on the local and national level, to keep your classmates informed, or download our new brochure, Find Your Voice with AGD Advocacy, and distribute copies around your campus to get others involved in protecting their future profession. Launch a FellowTrack Program Start a Facebook Page For more information or to get started on any of the activities listed above, contact AGD Headquarters at students@agd.org. We’ll provide you with the tools you need to get more involved in your membership and help you to get in touch with your local AGD constituent for assistance along the way. |
