The peer-review process is used to establish the content validity and pertinence of each submitted manuscript. The publication of each manuscript is determined based on the reviews of a general dentist reviewer, a specialist reviewer, the managing editor, and the editor of General Dentistry. The peer-review process may take up to two months.
General Dentistry is currently seeking general and specialist dentists to assist in the journal’s peer-review process by serving as manuscript reviewers.
General and specialist dentist-reviewers are crucial for guaranteeing that the journal continues to publish the finest in practical, clinical dentistry. No publishing/editing experience is necessary! We ask for a two-week turnaround for each manuscript review to ensure that all articles in the journal are as timely as possible. We understand that reviewers have other commitments to fulfill, which is why most of our reviewers are asked to review only two or three manuscripts over the course of a year.
If you are interested in reviewing for General Dentistry, please contact the journal specialist, Rachel Holmes, either by e-mail at rachel.holmes@agd.org or by phone at 312.440.4092. Please provide contact information and any specialty areas in which you are particularly interested in reviewing.
Also, if you are already reviewing for General Dentistry and would like to update your contact information or areas of interest, please contact Rachel Holmes.
