Advocacy

Welcome to Advocacy

As the general dentist’s advocate, the AGD monitors important issues that may affect the way general dentists practice both on the local and national level, assists our members in matters of dental care, and offers the public information about advancing oral health. In addition, in this section we provide our members with the resources to advocate for their profession, their practice, and for the betterment of public dental health care.

AGD Members Take Action!
Over the past year, more than 3,600 AGD members have sent 7,242 e-mails and letters to elected officials on issues that affect general dentistry. When you see an e-mail asking you to take action, make sure you do—this is your best opportunity to have your voice heard! Here are the top five issues AGD members have responded to through the Capwiz Action Alert Center.
