The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) now offers two transcripts to help you manage your continuing education—the new AGD Licensing Board Transcript and the AGD Award Transcript!

AGD Licensing Board Transcript
The new AGD Licensing Board Transcript provides members with customized reports for their state boards for re-licensure. Each AGD Licensing Board Transcript lists your licensing boards requirements for re-licensure, including mandatory subjects and total continuing education (CE) credits in a variety of modalities (participation, lecture, self-instruction, etc.) permitted by your state or province. As we continue to enhance this time-saving tool, we will be including more course information to meet any additional state board requirements. The majority of states within the U.S. and Provinces within Canada currently accept the AGD Licensing Board Transcript.
Use the AGD Licensing Board Transcript as verifiable proof of general dentists meeting the required CE credits of the dental board. Find what the status is in your state/province.

AGD Award Transcript
The AGD Award Transcript tracks members’ CE credits toward the AGD Fellowship (FAGD) and Mastership (MAGD) awards. These are the only achievement-based awards in general dentistry and require dedication to continuing education. Only courses given by PACE- or CERP-approved providers count toward the FAGD and MAGD requirement. All other courses will count toward your membership maintenance requirement.

Maintaining Your Transcript

Follow these tips for advice on how to report your CE credits to make sure your transcript is complete and accurate. You may submit your CE credits directly to the AGD by fax at 312.335.3432, e-mail at membership@agd.org, or by mail to:

Please note that the AGD and its constituents reserve the right to review members’ transcripts to ensure accuracy and offer assistance to members in resolving their inquiries. To deny your constituent access to view your transcripts, click on “My Profile” at the top of the page. Check the box in the “School/Education” section of the profile update marked “Do NOT share copies of my transcripts with my constituent.”

Focusing on the Fundamentals: Submitting CE Gets Easier and the AGD Transcript Gets Better!

The AGD has been working to improve the process of submitting CE credits to enhance the AGD transcripts.

CE Recording
The AGD is the general dentist's primary provider of CE course credit recording. We record all of the course credits you submit to us as a member of the AGD so you can see a complete listing of your credits at a glance.  Our goal is to make recording and monitoring your CE credits easier than ever by:

• Issuing new membership cards annually that have a barcode to allow PACE-approved CE providers to scan your card and submit your CE credit to us electronically—making CE entry quicker, easier, and more accurate.
• Launching a new scanning initiative to provide enhanced electronic documentation of your CE. All new CE records are being scanned, processed, and stored electronically. In order to provide all of the verification required by state boards, we are asking members who submit CE via the AGD Web site to also send their attendance certificate and related course information to us via regular mail or fax so we can record this information in your transcript.
• Adding additional staff positions focused on CE recording to accommodate the volume of CE submitted daily.

Your transcript is always available via the AGD Web site, so you can print a copy whenever you like to make sure it is complete, up-to-date, and accurate. Just click on "My CE" at the top of the page.
