Advocacy

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) facilitates the practice of the profession for general dentists by investigating and determining policies that advance dentists professionally and provide optimal dental care for the patient. The AGD also meets with organized dentistry, the governmental agencies charged with overseeing oral health, and third-party carriers in order to represent and advocate the positions of the general dentist.

• Advocacy News—Get the latest news about federal and state legislation, dental care, and professional relations matters.
• Policies—Read about the AGD’s stance regarding legislative and dental care issues.
• Dental Benefits Assistance—Did you receive an overpayment refund request? Is your claim in dispute? Contact us; we may be able to help!
• Dental Benefits Contract Analysis—Launched in 2007, the AGD will now examine your third-party payer contracts, either before or after you have signed them!
