Speaker Bio  

Ali Z. Syed, BDS, MHA, MS, is an associate professor, director of radiology and director of admitting clinic in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine and Diagnostic Sciences at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio. He is a diplomate (board-certified) of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He provides diagnostic interpretation services for conventional radiography and CBCT imaging and maintains a busy intramural practice. He has taught at the CWRU School of Dental Medicine for the past nine years and received numerous teaching awards. He has published close to 50 research articles, including co-authoring chapters in books (“Dental Clinics of North America,” “Cephalometry in Orthodontics: 2D and 3D”). Syed is an invited speaker at national and international meetings. His research interests include utilizing advanced technology for educational purposes and evaluating soft tissue calcifications, anatomical variations, etc.
