Each year, AGD Impact highlights 10 dentists at the beginning of their careers who represent the newest generation of exemplary oral healthcare providers. As new leaders in the field, these dentists can relate to students and recent grads and share stories and advice on how they got to where they are today. During this webinar, attendees will have the chance to get to know the panelists and ask them questions about dentistry, the beginning of their careers and more.

Speaker Bios  

Emily Bujnoski, DMD, MPH
Dr. Bujnosk is a 2020 A.T. Still University, the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health graduate, where she concurrently earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees. Upon graduation, Dr. Bujnoski immediately became involved with AGD at a constituent, regional, and national level. She serves as Arizona AGD Fellowship Chair, co-MasterTrack chair, and Secretary and Delegate for Region 14. Dr. Bujnoski is also a member of the AGD New Dentist, Student, and Resident Committee. In 2022, she was named one of “10 Dentists to Watch” by AGD Impact magazine. Dr. Bujnoski is passionate about leadership and engagement of new and diverse members of the dental community. From 2021-2022, she completed the American Dental Association’s Institute for Diversity in Leadership, working to develop a program to promote diversity in leadership at the constituent level in the AGD. Dr. Bujnoski is in private practice in Peoria, AZ. 
 
Ravneet S. Dhillon, DDS
Dr. Dhillon has been practicing in Morgan Hill, California, since 2016, after graduating with his DDS degree from New York University with honors in clinical pharmacology. Before moving to the U.S., Dhillon practiced in India for two years as an associate dentist after graduating from one of the top dental schools in India with a bachelor’s in dental surgery (BDS) in 2011. Outside the clinic, Dhillon dedicates time to charitable initiatives and dental outreach programs. He credits his background in the U.S. Army Reserve for giving him a strong sense of duty and commitment to service.

Adam J. Kennedy, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Kennedy currently serves as the program director for the General Practice Residency (GPR) at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. Kennedy graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2014, where he was awarded the Outstanding Student Leader Award by the American College of Dentists. He continued his studies and completed the GPR Program through the University of Washington in 2015. After graduating from the residency program, he continued to provide care as a dental provider at AJK Family Dentistry and also served as an affiliate instructor for the University of Washington. He was recently awarded the prestigious Outstanding New Dentist award by his alma mater and was rated Top Dentist by the Seattle Met in 2022. 

Robert Scott McKernan, DDS
Dr. McKernan graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Spanish Comparative Literature. McKernan went on to earn his DDS from Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College, where he graduated with honors in community service and special needs dentistry. His resume includes years of service in both public health and cosmetic private practice. He is the proud founder of Big Gay Smiles in Washington, D.C., and, along with his husband, has a passion to serve his community. 

Amanda Sonntag, DDS, MAGD
Dr. Sonntag attended dental school at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and completed a one-year general practice residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Sonntag achieved AGD Mastership in 2023 while purchasing and transforming her practice in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, in 2022. Sonntag has progressively taken on leadership roles in the Pennsylvania AGD and AGD; she is the Pennsylvania AGD president-elect and serves on the AGD Membership Council. She also serves as a mentor for younger Pennsylvania AGD graduates who appreciate her expertise in practice ownership and balancing work and family responsibilities.
