CAD/CAM technology has finally made its way to complete dentures, and it has the potential to improve the clinical experience for clinicians, technicians and patients. Digital denture workflows are versatile, with the ability to digitize any step (or maintain any conventional steps). Understanding how and when to incorporate digital steps allows clinicians and laboratory technicians to customize workflows that work for them. This presentation will break down the steps of the digital denture workflow from start to finish. Fundamentals of concepts, materials and procedures will be described to allow you to incorporate digital dentures into your own practice right away.

Speaker Bio  

Wendy Auclair Clark, DDS, MS, is a prosthodontist and full-time faculty member at the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry. She is passionate about removable and digital dentistry. After earning her doctoral degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Clark earned her master’s degree in clinical dentistry and certificate in postgraduate prosthodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She practiced prosthodontics for seven years with Team Atlanta (Goldstein, Garber & Salama) before her current position. She has been named a “Leader in Continuing Education” by Dentistry Today for the last six years, presenting on a wide range of prosthodontic topics. She has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals and serves as a key opinion leader for multiple companies on digital dentures.
