This course is designed for dentists interested in learning practical guidelines used in treatment planning restorative and prosthodontic procedures.   Dr. Tanaka will present how to recognize and plan treatment for beginning and advanced restorative and prosthodontic problems. He will explain why and how occlusal parafunction affects your ability to perform restorative procedures, and may be a significant factor in the failure of implants and implant prostheses.  He will also discuss the new tooth-colored restorative materials.  

 You will learn Guidelines for:

• Treatment planning patients who Bruxe • The use of Splint Therapy • Managing occlusal forces

• Restoring worn anterior teeth • Determining anterior tooth length • Determining the proper restorative material for worn anterior teeth.

• Altering the vertical dimension of occlusion • Sequential rehabilitation of the worn dentition

• Complete rehabilitation of the worn dentition

Brief Biography of the Speaker: Terry T. Tanaka, D.D.S., is Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry, Advanced Education Prosthodontics and maintains a private practice in prosthodontics in Chula Vista, California. Dr. Tanaka is the director of TMD and Restorative Dentistry Study Groups in the U.S. and abroad.   Dr. Tanaka holds fellowships in the Academy of Dentistry International, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a Diplomate, American Board of Orofacial Pain. He is Past President of the Academy of Dentistry International.
