Camera Selection, Operation, Retractors, Mirrors, Lighting, Composition, and Photographic documentation for various accreditation groups.
This is a nuts and bolts digital camera how to. Participants are encouraged to bring their own digital cameras and laptops (call presenter for details 401-247-1777). Photographic requirements for lecturing, mastertrack programs, American Board of General Dentistry, and cosmetic dental academies, orthodontic documentation, and International Board of Orthodontics certification will be introduced. Photographic techniques to get the appropriate case documentation for cosmetic, orthodontic, and general dental purposes will be discussed. Photography for marketing, case discussion, or lecturing will be emphasized. Both staff friendly consumer cameras and digital SLR cameras will be demonstrated. This course is co-sponsored by the Rhode Island Academy of General dentistry and the International Association for Orthodontics(IAO) New England.
Taught by H. Michael Sefranek DMD, MAGD. The presenter has lectured on digital dental photography and digital dental photo editing at New York University School of Dentistry, the IAO national meeting, and IAO New England. He is past president of New England Mastertrack, president of the Rhode Island AGD, as well as the IAO New England. He has also been a clinical faculty member at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at University of Connecticut where he lectured on cosmetic dentistry and is presently a clinical research associate with the PEARL Network at NYU School of Dentistry.
