About the Exam

Get one step closer to earning your Fellowship Award (FAGD) by taking the Fellowship Exam. While the exam is challenging, AGD members have a high success rate with 85 percent passing the exam on their first try.

Exam Details
Beginning July, 2009 the Fellowship Exam will consist of approximately 250 multiple-choice questions and will administered in one day with four-hour testing session. The exam includes material from all dental disciplines and strongly emphasizes clinical applications of accepted dental knowledge, techniques, and procedures.

Scoring
The exam is a norm-referenced exam, meaning that the passing score is based on what the Examination Council considers to be the minimum knowledge a general dentist must possess to be considered proficient.
