Call For Speakers Program

Welcome to the Academy of General Dentistry’s (AGD) new Call for Speakers program. This program was developed to make it easy for speakers to submit their course proposal information electronically to the AGD. The AGD welcomes proposals for presentations for future AGD annual meetings, as well as, applications for the AGD’s Speaker’s Bureau.

The AGD’s goal is to be synonymous with excellence in continuing education by establishing the AGD’s annual meeting as the premier continuing education venue for the general dental community.

By presenting for the AGD, you’ll benefit from the organization’s dedication to the general dental community—plus, you'll also have the opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise, challenges, and fresh approaches with fellow dental professionals from around the world.

Potential Topic Ideas
The AGD’s educational sessions at the annual meeting or constituent programs through the Speaker’s Bureau cover a broad array of subject matter to help attendees expand their knowledge base to include a wide variety of dental and industry topics. Dental team education also is highly valued! In addition to dental education topics, the AGD is committed to providing attendees with educational programming about practice management, ergonomics, research, and hot trends in dentistry.

No Speaking Experience? No Problem!
The AGD welcomes applications from experienced, as well as, new speakers. The AGD’s courses are about sharing your expertise directly with your peers. AGD Headquarters staff members are committed to helping you prepare for successful presentations. A good way to start out as a speaker with the AGD is to submit an application to conduct a Capsule Clinic (90-minute lectures), which allow you to gain experience presenting in front of AGD members and leaders.

How to become an AGD Speaker at a future annual meeting:
1. Submit this online speaker application, completed as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the application screen.

2. The AGD’s Dental Education Council will review the course applications that have been submitted.
