NATION OF SMILES, ONE SMILE AT A TIMEThe AGD and AGD Foundation have partnered and successfully launched a new outreach program initiative, Nation of Smiles, One Smile at a Time, to provide free quality dental care to underserved populations and community members in need. So far, two outreach projects have been completed during the last two AGD Annual Meeting & Exhibits in New Orleans and San Diego. In the 2011 Nation of Smiles, One Smile at a Time, approximately $80,000-worth of free oral health care was provided to San Diego homeless veterans and community members in need. In total, AGD volunteers performed nearly 630 procedures, averaging $625 per patient. 2012 Nation of Smiles, One Smile at a Time Volunteer dentists and dental teams are needed. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the volunteer commitment form. We are presently in need of contributions, as well as sponsorships, that are both financial and in-kind.
