2006 ($6,500 Total Awarded)
The Academy of General Dentistry Foundation (AGDF) approved a $6,500 grant request from the AGD Communication Council to hold SmileLine at the 2006 AGD Annual Meeting & Exposition in Denver. SmileLine, dentistry’s first national hotline, raises awareness about oral health, new dental technology, and the options available to maintain a healthy, beautiful smile. Hosted by more than 150 AGD members, the 12-hour event takes place as part of the AGD’s annual meeting. AGD members volunteer their medical expertise to field questions about dental health at all stages of life. To date, the SmileLine has fielded questions from more than 15,500 consumers.
The AGD Foundation was incorporated in 1972, in the state of Illinois, and is exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as a vehicle to accept tax deductible contributions for the purpose of supporting charitable and education programs. |
