The AGDF, through a request from the Council on Dental Education, agreed to fund $15,000 to the Baylor College of Dentistry, TAMHSC, Dental Oncology Education Program, a program of the Texas Cancer Council, for the second Consensus Conference on Oral Health in Cancer Therapy. The purpose of the conference was to update the monograph of the same name. By funding this conference, the AGDF would have rights regarding the monograph that resulted from this conference including reprint rights, distribution rights, and co-sponsorship recognition.

The AGDF approved a grant of $500 to Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry to fund access to an e-college ethics course for dental students.

The AGDF approved a grant of $2,500 to the Texas AGD to host a booth at the Lance Armstrong Foundation Health and Sports Expo. The Texas AGD conducted oral cancer screenings to increase public and professional awareness of oral health and the oral complication of cancer therapy.

A grant of $1,000 was awarded to the Maryland AGD to fund a half-day lecture about preventing and treating the oral complications of cancer therapy.

The AGD Foundation was incorporated in 1972, in the state of Illinois, and is exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as a vehicle to accept tax deductible contributions for the purpose of supporting charitable and education programs.
