Keeping PACE is the AGD PACE Providers' most current source of information from Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Headquarters. It is also a good reference tool for AGD leaders. Recipients are encouraged to check this resource on a regular basis for information that can help provide top-quality dental education and ensure compliance to published AGD PACE Guidelines. Introduced in 1988 as the AGD National Sponsor Approval Program (NSAP), the AGD later changed the program’s name to Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) to better describe its goal. Now, nearly two decades later, the nationally recognized AGD PACE name and logo remain strong. Thousands of providers have applied for and received PACE approval, making it easy for AGD members to find courses that provide hours that can be applied towards their AGD Fellowship (FAGD) or Mastership Award (MAGD). Governmental regulatory agencies throughout North America recognize PACE as the gold standard for ensuring continuing education (CE) providers are presenting quality dental education and require that dentists attend courses from PACE-approved providers to maintain their dental licenses.
