Speaker Biography
Dr. Arce obtained his  DDS degree (2000) and a Masters degree in Pharmacology (2005) from his native country Colombia (Universidad del Valle at Cali). He then moved to the US and completed a dual-degree PhD in Oral Biology along with certificate in Periodontology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry (2013). Dr. Arce is currently an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Periodontics at Georgia Regents University (GRU). Dr. Arce's extensive research publications address host/pathogen interactions, systemic implications of periodontitis and drug discovery. He has also published in clinical topics included computer/guided implant surgery and lip repositioning techniques. He can be reached at rarcemunoz@gru.edu
