Speaker Biography
Dr. Sid Stein is an associate professor in the department of periodontology at the University of Tennessee-College of Dentistry. Dr. Stein is a board certified periodontist who received his specialty training at the University of Rochester/Eastman Dental Center and currently treats patients in the University Dental Practice. His daily efforts include teaching undergraduate and graduate students on the clinic floor, in classrooms and in laboratories. His research efforts have focused on “periodontal medicine” and the role of the host response in periodontal diseases. Dr. Stein has served on several editorial boards, multiple committees and sub-committees for the American Academy of Periodontology and is currently a consultant for the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at United States Army base in Fort Gordon, GA.
