Speaker Biography
Dr. James Cade graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and received his dental degree, DDS, in 1979 from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences College of Dentistry. He earned a Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from the Emory University School of Dentistry in 1982. From 1982 – 2006, Dr. Cade taught at the LSU School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral Diagnosis/Medicine/Radiology for over 23 years and practiced part-time general dentistry in New Orleans, LA. He was a full professor for over 10 years. Dr. Cade served his last 10 months at LSUSD as interim department chairman. Dr. Cade published in peer review journals and presented numerous continuing education programs. He joined Honeycutt Family Dentistry in March 2006 practicing general dentistry. Dr. Cade is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine. He currently serves as a dental officer in the Tennessee National Guard with the rank of colonel. He has 30 years of service in the Army Reserves and National Guard including two deployments to Iraq. Dr. Cade is married over 37 years with four children and has six grandchildren.
